Build a clean modern desk for your space. You can make a modern computer desk and keep a clean look by using a wireless keyboard, mouse, and even charging station on top. You can build a DIY desk like this for use in a home office or even for home school uses. I used ambrosia maple for this build but you can use any lumber that you choose. I love the look of ambrosia because it has such a unique wood grain pattern and is so imperfect. Those imperfections create a unique challenge because of the soft nature of the wood and some spots being near rotten. I used Total Boat penetrating epoxy to solidify the soft spots in the wood so it could be used as a desk. This hardens the wood as a desk will take a lot of use and abuse over time. I used dowel joinery for this project but you could use pocket hole joinery if you are not comfortable using dowels.
