In this video I make a children's chair out of the top of a bar stool and re-used the wood from some old fence posts for the legs.
The bar stool was bought for the base. I had to replace a broken one of which I couldn't get the same colour meaning the top was left over. The legs spend 20+ years of their life holding up garden fence panels. They were rotten at each end so were replaced a while ago but I kept them as they had some good wood in their middle sections. They have a few signs of wear and tear, such as giant nail holes, but I've kept these in without covering them up.. I figured it made a nice feature and a reminder of what they used to be.
