Because we need a lot of air capacity on Brupeg for pneumatic tools, our air starter on the main engine and for a future dive system, we need to find a way to store that compressed air long term without rusting a mild steel compressor tank out from the inside.
This week Dame builds our new engine room mounted air compressor. Using recycled 316 stainless beer kegs brought from the scrappy, he retro fitted our existing AEG compressor head onto the new, larger stainless tank. He also makes some mounting upgrades to allow for near silent operation (outside of the engine room) which was pretty impressive.
